Guidance
CDC and Colorado Department of Public Health

Both the CDC and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment acknowledge the importance of faith-based community activities in tough times such as these.  In view of this, they have provided guidelines for communities of faith meeting in person.  Go Church strives to meet these guidelines while still providing for the spiritual needs of our community.  The information below describes how we are working to meet these guidelines.

Here are links to federal and state guidelines specific to faith communities.

Healthy Hygiene Practices
Washing hands, covering coughs

Signs around the building and in the bathroom remind people to wash their hands as frequently as needed.  Bathrooms are well stocked with soap and touch-free hand sanitizer stations are placed in an around the area.

Everyone should remember to cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and to throw tissues away immediately and wash your hands.

Masks
Do it for your neighbor

Currently, the state of Colorado mandates the wearing of makes for anyone 11 years or older while inside a public area.  Those who cannot medically tolerate a face covering are exempt.  Additionally, the CDC recommends masks for anyone older than 2.

Science is indicating that masks help keep the wearer from spreading COVID-19, even if they don't show symptoms.  Please be considerate of others and wear your mask when you visit.

Cleaning Procedures
Cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation

Our staff and volunteers have been familiarized with the cleaning and disinfecting procedures put out by the CDC and CO Department of Health.

Specifically, in between each service, we are disinfecting restrooms and any metal/plastic surfaces that may be in contact with people (e.g. chairs, doors).

Social Distancing
Max 50 people per service

Colorado currently limits gatherings to 50 people.  For this reason (and for contact tracing) we are using asking people to register for a service ahead of time.

Additionally:

  • Chairs will be set out such that families can sit together while maintaining 6 feet of distance between other families/individuals.
  • The restroom is a single-person restroom.
  • We will be adding more services to our weekly schedule to help further reduce the stress of social distancing.

Health Screenings

All staff, volunteers, and kids in Go Kids will be screened for symptoms upon arrival.  Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 will be asked to go home.

The CDPHE Onsite Screening form (linked below) will be used to check for other symptoms in addition to temperature.

Communion and Giving

When we do communion, the individually packaged sacrements will be placed under each chair by a volunteer wearing gloves and a mask.

Instead of collecting the offering during the service, you will have a chance to drop your offering off in a box at back of the worship area.

Online Options
We will continue our online presence

If you don't feel comfortable visiting us in person, that fine.  We will be live streaming for each service.

Additionally, there will always be an online-only option for our Hangouts (small groups).

Go Kids
Go Kids are our future, we need to protect them

We know you love your kids, and so do we.  Our Go Kids ministry has worked to adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment for Child Care Facilities.
